Thoughtfully designed to make the most of every square foot, the Bothy is a cosy, hand-crafted retreat for those seeking comfort, simplicity and a genuine connection with the outdoors.
The Bothy is nestled within the grounds of our cottage in the hills of Glenrinnes and forms part of The Kennels, a distinctive Victorian estate building originally constructed as part of the sporting estate. Thoughtfully restored and converted while retaining it's historic character, the Bothy offers a peaceful escape overlooking the beautiful Glenrinnes countryside. Step Inside
Inside, the open-plan living space combines a comfortable double bed, a compact yet well-equipped kitchen, and a dining area, creating a warm and welcoming environment to relax after a day outdoors. At the heart of the Bothy sits a traditional Salamander stove, providing warmth and atmosphere throughout the seasons. For the adventurous, meals can even be cooked on the stove while enjoying a quiet evening by the fire.
A few steps from the Bothy, you'll find your own spacious private bathroom. Complete with a large shower and modern facilities, it offers comfort without compromising the character of the accommodation. A small boot room area within the bathroom provides plenty of space for muddy boots, fishing gear, outdoor clothing and drying off the dog after a day exploring.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome and will love the secure private garden and countless walks available directly from the doorstep. From quiet woodland paths to open hill tracks, there is no shortage of opportunities to explore the surrounding countryside together.
Outside, the Bothy enjoys its own fully fenced and gated garden, providing privacy, peace and uninterrupted panoramic views across the glen towards the distant Corryhabbie Hills. Start your day with coffee in one of the Adirondack chairs, enjoy an alfresco meal at the bistro table, or gather around the Kadai fire pit as the sun sets behind the hills.
The newly planted garden, with its rhododendrons, holly and silver birch trees, is beginning to establish itself and will become even more beautiful with each passing season. Wildlife is abundant throughout the year, with roe deer, brown hares, curlew, lapwing, snipe and birds of prey all regularly seen from the garden.
Whether you're seeking adventure in the hills, a base for exploring Speyside, or simply a quiet place to unwind beneath dark skies and wide-open views, the Bothy offers a unique and memorable escape in the heart of rural Scotland.
